About John
Hi! My name is John DePasquale and I am 24 years old. I have been playing piano since I was 6. Blessed with parents who taught me discipline and teachers who were very talented, I picked up the instrument pretty quickly and never stopped playing. After I graduated high school, I attended Wayne State University on a full-ride. In four years, I had my Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Music Theory and Music Composition. Growing up in church, I developed a love for ministering through music. So after graduating, I attended Christ For The
Nations Institute in Dallas, Tx, preparing myself to minister through music in the church. While at the institute, I was hired to teach piano to my peers and had a studio of 22 students while still studying as a student myself. After finishing school in Dallas, I returned home and have started teaching and building a studio of students here in Metro-Detroit. I can honestly say that I have a love for piano that many teachers do not have. With many years of valuable teaching
experience, ranging from teaching lessons in high school to teaching both music
classes and private lessons in college, I believe I have the experience necessary to teach aspiring pianists to reach their goals on the instrument. I realize that through the years, I have been blessed to have both taken lessons and given lessons, and I would like nothing more than to share what I have learned with others. I wish to give to others only what I have been given; the gift of making music.
